About Us

The idea of starting pet business in India was initiated in the year 1986 when the pet industry was in its infancy with only 12 registered Pet Practitioners in India. The first product of prime importance at that stage was the requirement of Canine Vaccines. Dr. Gurbuxani explored the markets of U.S.A & Europe and met with top vaccine manufacturers to finalize import of vaccines into India.

After successfully importing vaccines and making them available to all Canine Practitioners in India he explored various other products required for the pet industry like Pet Accessories and Pet Pharmaceuticals and so on. This is where Petswill stands today.

About the Founder

Dr. J.P. Gurbuxani graduated from Veterinary College Hissar and opted to enter the pet industry to launch various products for pets in the country. A pioneer in this field he successfully brought into India a complete range of the required Pet Products.
He instituted a Gold Medal as “The Young Surgeon's Award” which is being presented every year by the Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery in India.

Recently, he was awarded “The Lifetime Achiever’s Award” at the Annual Conference organized by Small Animal Veterinary Association and World Small Animal Veterinary Association. The award was given by Mrs. Khallida Ansari, wife of the Vice- President of India.

The oral rabies vaccine for stray dogs was successfully launched by Dr. Gurbuxani, after he got it approved by Government agencies.

His vision today is to opening Pet Grooming Parlors in India.
